Will shipping cost more if I order more than one animal?
Generally, no. Send us your zip code, and we will get back to you with a shipping quote. Standard size packages can usually accommodate several smaller size animals. Larger animals and lots requiring larger packaging may be subject to additional charges. If you plan on purchasing a quantity or combination of animals that is not assigned a “Buy Now” button, contact us for a quote and we can invoice you via PayPal to avoid multiple shipping charges. We will provide you with an accurate quote before invoicing you.

Is there a discount if I purchase more than one animal?
It depends. We do offer wholesale prices on lots of 10 and up on some of our animals. (We may ask for tax license information.) If you wish to purchase a small lot of 5 or more, or if you are a recurrent customer, ask; we will likely work with you.

What are your store hours?
All of our business is conducted on-line and at trade shows. We do not have a retail store. If you wish to order something and would rather pick it up than have it shipped, we will gladly arrange an appointment to do so.

How do you ship live animals? Is it safe?
We ship our animals in insulated packaging via overnight service. We are certified through Fed Ex to ship live animals. Fed Ex is our primary carrier, and holds an excellent track record with us. We do not try to conceal what we are shipping. Our packages are clearly labeled identifying the contents. We use heat or cold packs when needed. We do not ship in conditions that may jeopardize the animal’s welfare. You can check out our guarantee policy in our “Terms” section.

If I purchase a bearded dragon, can I keep it with my leopard gecko till it gets bigger?
We do not recommend housing different species together, although it can be done in some circumstances.

Can I keep 2 bearded dragons together?
When housing beardies together, they must be observed very closely to be sure they are compatible. Males will tend to show more aggression than females and should never be housed together. Females or pairs of the same size generally do well together.

How large of a cage do I need?
We provide care information and info links to many species of reptiles and amphibians. Links to these care sheets can be found on our “Home” page.

Can I request a certain sex when ordering?
Yes. However, we do not guarantee sex on certain animals, including baby beardies. We will make an educated and honest attempt when possible, and generally do a good job.

Can you send me photos of your beardies so I can pick the one I want?
No. (Sorry). It is impractical for us to post updates of every beardie we have available. Our beardies are housed in small groups based on genetics and age. We will always have photos posted on our site of individuals or groups that represent the beardies available.

Will you pick out a healthy one for me?
This question is always taken with a grain of salt. If or when we have an animal that shows any signs of stress or health issues, it is isolated from the others. It is to our best interest, ethically and financially, to be sure you receive your animal in perfect condition. We have an excellent guarantee policy that backs up that statement.

Why are your prices so low?
Ah Yes, we do get this question now and then. We consider our prices to be “competitive.” Many times we are compared with the prices of larger pet store chains. We are not a pet store. We are a private breeder whose enthusiasm is in our animals more than in dollar signs. Our prices are generally based on the national market.

Do you breed your reptiles yourself?
All of the animals we offer are captive bred, most by us. In some cases, we will purchase captive bred animals from other reputable breeders for our own collection and for resale.

I’d like to get something that will make a good pet to handle. Any suggestions?
When we decide on new breeding projects to take on, we keep this in mind. Although reptiles are not thought of as the same type of pet as a dog or a cat, some species will become quite tame with frequent handling. The most popular choices are bearded dragons and blue tongue skinks, both great for the beginner as well as advanced hobbyist.

Can you send my package on Friday so I will receive it Saturday?
No. The latest day during the week that we ship is Thursday for Friday delivery. Weekend delivery may be available but is substantially higher in cost. We encourage you to place your order early in the week. Don’t wait till the last minute for that birthday gift!

Do you take trades?
We do not generally accept trades unless it is in person, but you can still ask.
