Live, healthy arrival is guaranteed. We will not ship any animals that are sick or of questionable health. We will not ship under any circumstances that we feel may jeopardize the welfare of the animal(s). Such situations would include severe weather, holidays, weekends, etc. Shipping is generally done Monday through Thursday. Arrangements must be made so someone will be present to receive the package. Live, healthy arrival will not apply if the package is not received and signed for on the first delivery attempt. We cannot guarantee live arrival of an animal left outside in extreme hot or cold conditions.
We use Fed Ex Express as our main shipping method, which provides next morning delivery to most U.S. locations. If next day is not available to your area, 2nd day service will be used only if we feel conditions are favorable to do so. U.S.P.S. shipping is also available in limited situations.
In the unfortunate event that your animal arrives in an unsatisfactory condition, we require you contact us immediately with the specific problem. In the event of a DOA, seal the animal in a plastic bag and place it in a freezer. We may request proof of your claim, such as the returned animal or an e-mailed photo. We will then choose to either refund your payment or attempt another delivery.
In the event of a problem resulting from carrier error, we will correct the problem with a replacement or a refund.
Our policy is set up to be as fair as possible, while protecting ourselves as well as you. Please use common sense; be present to receive your package. Avoid “impulse buying”. It is your responsibility to be able and willing to give your pet proper care. It is also your responsibility to understand and practice safe handling of your pet. As with any pet, children should always be supervised when around them. Remember; if it eats, it bites.
Online payments are accepted through PayPal. We also accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover over the phone. We do not accept personal checks. We will hold animals upon receiving full payment only.
You must be 18 years old or older to make a purchase or have a parent or guardian's permission.
It is the customer’s responsibility to read and understand our terms before ordering.

“ACTIVE 8” Extended Guarantee Policy;
In addition to the above policy, the “ACTIVE 8” policy will extend our standard guarantee on online purchases for eight additional days past the delivery time. In the event of a deceased animal due to health reasons beyond your control within this time frame, we will issue credit for the entire cost of the animal, excluding shipping costs. (Acts of neglect or carelessness will void the "ACTIVE 8" guarantee.) Proof of claim, such as an e-mailed photo, must be provided at our request.
In order for this policy to be effective, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
Within 80 minutes of the package delivery time, (time is provided by the carrier) you must either e-mail us or call (you may leave a brief message by phone if no one answers) to assure us that you have received and opened your package. You must include the invoice number in your message (found in the upper right corner of your receipt).
At this time, inform us of your overall satisfaction with the transaction. Things you may wish to point out are:
- Was the package shipped and received within the time frame you were told?
- Does the animal meet your expectations based on our representation?
- Are you completely satisfied with the animal's condition upon arrival?
- Do you feel we communicated with you in a timely manner?
You may also add any questions or concerns you may have. Questions are always encouraged!
If you have activated the extended policy and encounter any problems after the eight-day window, we will deal with the issue as fairly as possible on an individual basis.
We reserve the right to exempt certain shipments or animals from the “ACTIVE 8” policy.
The "ACTIVE 8" policy does not apply to wholesale orders.
